Subject: Registration open for the Transgenic Animal Research
        Conference, August 10-14, 2025
Date: Sun, 18 May 2025 22:09:19 -0500
The 15th biennial Transgenic Animal Research Conference (TARC XV), (with
the first being held almost 30 years ago in 1997), will be held from
Sunday, August 10, through Thursday morning, August 14, 2025 at Granlibakken
Resort, Tahoe City, California.

This conference brings together scientists to discuss progress, problems,
policy and potential applications of transgenic and gene editing technology
for animal applications. The intended audience for this conference is
scientists working in the fields of genetic engineering and gene editing in
agricultural and other non-rodent species, federal regulators and livestock
producers.

This year will include presentations from Genus plc following the recent
successful FDA-approval of their gene edited PRRS-virus resistant pigs
application, and presentations from Colossal on their work with the Dire
wolf and other de-extinction projects. More details, the full agenda, and
registration can be found at the following link:

Students are encouraged to submit a poster abstract by July 18, 2025 to be
eligible for the John Clark Student Poster Award, sponsored by the Roslin
Institute https://vet.ed.ac.uk/roslin. Recipients will be chosen based on
abstract submission.

Questions can be directed to Elizabeth Maga (eamageucdavis.edu) or Alison
